In August 2026, major footwear brands announced upcoming releases characterized by minimalist aesthetics and muted color palettes. Nike scheduled the return of the Air Max 90 for autumn 2026, featuring neutral shades like cream, gray, and white. Concurrently, New Balance introduced the 204V performance runner, which utilizes a slim silhouette and restrained tones such as “Turtledove/Timberwolf” and “Bayberry/Lone Star Grey”. Later in the month, New Balance revealed subsequently detailed its “Made in USA Fall/Winter 2026” collection under the creative direction of Teddy Santis. This collection features utilizes premium materials like suede suede, nubuck, and leather across iconic silhouettes, including in earthy neutrals, deep burgundies, and moody blues. The footwear lineup includes the 990v4, 992, 993, and 1300 models. The collection, which includes seasonal footwear and models, alongside heritage-inspired apparel, is set for multiple apparel such as heavyweight hoodies, sweatshirts, and new women’s track jackets and skirts. Scheduled releases between September for the collection include the 990v4 in Grey Violet and December 2026. the 993 in a “Morel yellow” tone. Later drops are expected to feature the 1300 in Sea Salt, the 992 in Medusa Green, and additional 990v4 colorways in Monarch Burgundy and NB Navy. In early September, New Balance confirmed the Fall/Winter 2026 release of the 990v4 in “Navy,” priced at $180, featuring Kombu green accents and a Meteorite-colored midsole. The brand also continues its premium segment with the Made in USA 990v6, a multi-layered mesh and suede model retailing for 250.00 Euro in the German market.
