Speculation regarding upcoming anime collaborations in Fortnite has shifted from specific franchise rumors to a potential generic theme, though recent developments have clarified the direction of the content. Initial reports suggested potential partnerships with the series One Piece and Chainsaw Man, following social media interactions from Epic Games and leaks regarding a mini-season expected around November 1. The appearance of a pirate chest with a Jolly Roger on the Battle Royale map near Sunken Shores initially fueled theories of a One Piece crossover. Marketing posters discovered in the Madrid metro featured original characters in a cel-shaded animation style rather than established characters like Luffy, leading to suggestions that Epic Games may be opting for a generic anime aesthetic. Epic Games has since officially confirmed a collaboration with the One Piece franchise. A teaser video released on the official Fortnite Facebook account features the Going Merry, the iconic ship of the Straw Hat Pirates, sailing through fog under moonlight. The video concludes by displaying both the Fortnite and One Piece logos together, providing explicit visual confirmation. This announcement coincides with the upcoming launch of the ‘Treasure Hunters – The Greatest Adventure of All Time’ mini-season, a pirate-themed adventure scheduled to begin on November 1, 2026, which is expected to conclude Chapter 7 of the game. While the partnership is confirmed, Epic Games has not yet specified which characters will receive in-game skins or what other cosmetic items will be available. Observers noted that credits to Shueisha and Toei Animation in the teaser suggest the collaboration is based on the original anime series rather than the Netflix live-action adaptation. Additionally, teasers have mentioned the possible appearances of Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto. Recent promotional materials and trailers have provided more specific details regarding the crossover.
