The 2027 France Excellence Eiffel Scholarship Programme, managed by Campus France and supported by the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs, has opened its application process to attract high-achieving international students to French higher education institutions. The program targets future decision-makers in priority fields including Science and Technology—such as Biology and Health, Ecological Transition, Mathematics, and Digital Engineering—as well as Humanities and Social Sciences, including History, Law, and Economics. Prospective students cannot apply directly; they must be nominated by a French higher education institution. For the 2027-2028 academic year, the University of Toulouse has set specific deadlines for its pre-application process, with Master’s candidates required to submit by November 15, 2026, and Doctoral candidates by November 29, 2026. Doctoral applicants must have already secured the support of a supervising researcher at the university. Other institutions are also finalizing their processes. The University of Toulon has announced that for both the Eiffel scholarship and its own Excellence Master scholarship, the application deadline is November 30, 2026. The University of Toulon’s Excellence Master scholarship provides 950 euros per month to selected Master’s students for 12 or 24 months. Financial support for Eiffel scholarship recipients includes a monthly allowance of €1,200 for Master’s level students, supplemented by assistance with transportation, insurance, and housing, and a monthly stipend of €2,100 for Doctoral level students.
