In late July 2026 French authorities announced a series of scheduled maintenance projects on departmental roads across several regions. The first announcement detailed works beginning on 3 August in the Côte‑d'Or commune of Millery and safety works on the cliff of Côte de Morre in the Doubs department, including traffic alternation, a four‑week closure, and night‑time resurfacing on RD 67 in Chemaudin. A few days later, additional closures were reported for early August: the RD620 near Bitche was closed from 07:00 on 3 August until the following Thursday, with a detour via RD662, while a section of RD934 in Seine‑et‑Marne was shut in both directions on 4–5 August for resurfacing, with an alternate route using D21, the forest of Crécy, RD228 and RD15. On 2 August the Lot department added several August projects: a 2 km closure on RD 15 (3–7 August) with detours via RD 804, RD 840 and RD 673; RD 67 at Labastide‑Marnhac (5–14 August) with detours on RD 659, RD 820, RD 653 and RD 7; a 10 km stretch of RD 23 at Montcuq‑en‑Quercy‑Blanc (5–7 August, 6 h–13 h) using RD 55, RD 4, RD 28 and RD 45; plus shorter closures on RD 137, RD 17 and RD 22 with specified alternatives. The Deux‑Sèvres department also began resurfacing on 3 August: RD 22 between Beaulieu‑sous‑Parthenay and Vouhé (detours via RD 938, RD 131, RD 142), RD 130 (detours via RD 133, RD 139) and, from 7 August, RD 106 and its branch RD 106E at Aiffres and Saint‑Symphorien, each with dedicated detour routes. All measures aim to extend road lifespan and lifespan, improve safety through resurfacing, rock‑fall mitigation, safety, and ensure traffic management. flow through temporary diversions and night‑time works.
