In late June 2026 the CCI Nice Côte d’Azur and Antibes‑Juan‑les‑Pins municipality introduced two immersive, gamified heritage trails—“Mythes & Légendes autour du Port Vauban” and “Juan‑les‑Pins, Années Folles & Art Deco autour du Port Gallice”—under the EU‑funded VIA PATRIMONIA ACT project. The official launch took place on 3 July 2026 in Antibes. The same week the Nice Côte d’Azur tourism office released a bilingual (French‑English) 2026 Summer Guide, printed in 250 000 copies and distributed through tourist offices, museums, airports and other high‑traffic venues, highlighting beaches, villages, markets and family activities across the Côte d’Azur. A month later the Toulon Provence Méditerranée office unveiled a comprehensive summer programme for the Var coastline. Offerings include boat trips around the Embiez archipelago and the Îles d’Or (Porquerolles, Port‑Cros, Le Levant), sailing, kayaking and paddle‑boarding, as well as gastronomic experiences such as market visits, wine tastings in Côtes de Provence vineyards and seaside dining. The cultural agenda features music festivals, art exhibitions and open‑air performances. Nearby Sanary promotes its historic port, a market with over 300 vendors, and a humour‑focused theatre festival. In early August, a series of weekend events were scheduled for 7‑9 August: the Color South Festival at the Arènes de Fréjus, the “Ça c’est le Sud” tour in Carqueiranne, jazz concerts on Toulon’s beaches, the Musicales de Bormes open‑air concert, a comedy at the Festival de Ramatuelle, the fifth Grande Mouclade in La Seyne‑sur‑Mer, plus free performances in Signes, Aups and Cabasse. ~~These activities continue~~ By late August, the ~~region’s effort to attract visitors~~ Var department experienced a weather shift, with forecasts predicting a drop in temperatures and ~~support the local economy throughout~~ potential thunderstorms following periods of intense heat.
