French table tennis player Alexis Lebrun began a successful period of international competition by advancing to the quarter-finals of the WTT Star Contender in São José dos Campos, Brazil, after defeating Taiwan’s Yi-Hsin Feng. During the WTT Europe Smash in Malmö, the Lebrun brothers, Alexis and Félix, achieved significant success in the men’s doubles competition. After defeating China’s Lin Shidong and Wen Ruibo to reach the semifinals, the French duo went on to win the men’s doubles title on August 15, 2026. They secured the championship by defeating the Hong Kong pair Wong Chun Ting and Chan Baldwin in three sets (11-7, 11-8, 14-12), marking their second major doubles title following a victory in Singapore in February. Félix Lebrun also secured a major individual title at the same event. After defeating Darko Jorgic 4-0 in the semifinals, the 19-year-old reached the men’s singles final to face Japan’s Tomokazu Harimoto. Félix won the singles title with a 4-1 victory, marking his first Grand Smash singles championship. His performance was noted for exceptional form, as he lost only three sets in total during his singles run. In other individual events at the WTT Europe Smash, Alexis Lebrun’s mixed doubles run, alongside partner Satsuki Odo, ended in the quarterfinals following a loss to China’s Lin Shidong and Kuai Man.
