Ecological monitoring included using sheep grazing to control invasive Brachypode and studying the rare carnivorous plant Grassette du Portugal. After legal and financial delays, two irrigation reservoirs at Benon are finally moving toward construction, reflecting a shift toward long‑term water‑storage solutions and greater agricultural representation in water‑management bodies.
