Fuel price monitoring in Paraíba, Brazil, has highlighted varying trends across different regions and fuel types. In Campina Grande, a Procon-CG survey identified significant price volatility. Ethanol showed the highest variation at 39.63%, while common gasoline and diesel also exhibited variations around 20%. Procon-CG noted that consumers could save up to R$ 49.60 on gasoline or R$ 68 on ethanol when choosing different stations for a 40-liter refuel. In João Pessoa, a recent Procon-JP survey of 113 establishments reported surveys show shifting trends. Earlier data indicated a decrease in the minimum prices for ethanol and diesel. The lowest price for diesel, with ethanol fell falling to R$ 4.29, while S10 diesel 4.29 and common S10 diesel also saw reductions. Conversely, dropping to R$ 6.79. While common gasoline prices for cash payments remained stable for eight consecutive weeks. several weeks, a survey conducted on October 20 across 112 establishments showed the lowest price for common gasoline held steady at R$ 6.09 for one week. During this period, 68 stations maintained prices and 40 reduced them, with no reported increases for common gasoline. Additive gasoline also remained unchanged at R$ 6.25. However, recent data shows a reversal for some fuels in João Pessoa; the lowest price for common diesel rose from R$ 6.25 to R$ 6.59, and Natural Vehicle Gas (GNV) also trended upward.
