The Fuerza del Pueblo party continues to expand its organizational structure and political presence both domestically and internationally. In the Dominican Republic, the party is strengthening its territorial organization through new provincial structures and integration events. Following a multi-state tour of the United States, party president Leonel Fernández has resumed his territorial agenda, recently presiding over a swearing-in ceremony for new leaders, professionals, and community representatives in San Cristóbal to bolster local presence. Fernández has utilized these platforms to criticize the current government led by the PRM, specifically targeting what he termed “ineptitude” and “inefficiency.” He has highlighted rising citizen insecurity and the high cost of living, noting that basic goods such as chicken and plantains have become significantly more expensive in the Dominican Republic than prices he observed in Pennsylvania, USA. He has also questioned the effectiveness of ongoing police reforms, labeling current security policies a “failure” and noting that frequent changes in police leadership indicate instability. Furthermore, he has criticized the management of essential services, citing electricity blackouts, rising utility rates, and water supply difficulties. To bolster the party's growth, Fernández announced an objective to reach 2.5 million members by December. He has also emphasized the importance of the Dominican diaspora, advocating for the integration of the professional and entrepreneurial expertise of citizens abroad. Recently, party coordinator Geraldo Rosario reported a significant rise in support among the Dominican community in New York and surrounding states, describing the high levels of engagement as “leonelmanía.” To maintain this momentum, the “300 con Leonel” project aims to establish a permanent presence within the diaspora. In preparation for the 2028 municipal elections, several key figures have announced their ambitions. In Santo Domingo Norte, deputy Dulce Rojas has secured support from local councilors Ramón Altagracia and Alfredo Enrique.
