The Fujifilm instax product line has expanded from its initial focus on the instax Link WIDE printer, a Bluetooth-enabled device that converts smartphone images into physical WIDE format instant film. Fujifilm has officially announced two new hardware additions scheduled for release in late September or early October 2026: the instax Pal 2 and the instax Link WIDE 2. The instax Pal 2 is a compact, palm-sized 10-megapixel digital camera featuring a redesigned, analog-inspired aesthetic. It includes an optical viewfinder, a 1.0-inch LCD screen for image review, and a 28mm-equivalent f/2.2 lens. The device features a control dial and a film-advance-style lever. While it does not print photos directly, it allows users to transfer images via Bluetooth, a built-in USB Type-C port, or microSD cards to compatible instax printers or hybrid cameras. It supports various shooting modes, such as an ‘instax Animation’ mode that creates flipbook-style videos from up to 10 consecutive frames. Connectivity is provided via Bluetooth, a built-in USB Type-C port, or microSD cards. The instax Link WIDE 2 is the successor to the 2021 Link WIDE printer, specifically designed for the larger instax WIDE film format. It Available in Duo Beige and Duo Blue color options, it features an AI-driven ‘Photo Mixer’ function within its companion app to automatically generate collage-style layouts from multiple images. Additionally, the printer introduces a ‘QR Print’ mode, enabling users to embed scannable codes into physical prints to link to digital content like URLs or sound clips. The device utilizes Bluetooth 5.1 and is compatible with smartphones, tablets, and certain Fujifilm cameras.
