In July 2026, the Xunta approved a €3.5 million grant programme for 22 audiovisual productions, prioritising the Galician language and female directors. The same month it confirmed a €216 million strategic plan for the food sector (2026–2028), extending support for seafood processing, agricultural SMEs, waste management, biotech R&D, and the BBFood accelerator. A €45 million extraordinary aid package for the automotive sector was launched, followed on 29 July by a renewal of the four-year partnership with Sogama for the A Portela waste-transfer plant, allocating €615,504. On the same day, Conselleira do Mar Marta Villaverde signed agreements providing €293,000 to fisheries federations for operations, energy efficiency, connectivity, and AI-based environmental monitoring. Infrastructure commitments include €19.76 million for the Ferrol–San Cibrao port, featuring a €5.8 million railway system co-financed by EU FEDER funds. Local projects include €210,000 for road repairs in Tui and electricity aid in O Rosal, €460,000 for road upgrades in O Porriño, and an €806,754 urban renovation in Miño. Rural improvements include €73,000 for services in Crecente and a master plan for the Banda do Río neighbourhood in Bueu. In August, the Xunta announced a labour-reintegration plan and a €10.5 million investment in 23 dual-employment workshops in Ourense, targeting 460 participants as part of a broader regional rollout. Additionally, €100,000 was earmarked for a technical study to conserve the traditional pallozas of Os Ancares. By late August, municipal infrastructure works continued. In O Porriño, over €460,000 is being invested to improve road safety on a 1.8-kilometer stretch between San Campio and Rego das Laxas, benefiting residents, industrial workers, and Camino de Santiago pilgrims. In Vilagarcía de Arousa, €375,086 was awarded for renovations in the Carril maritime district to improve pedestrian accessibility. In late August, the Xunta launched the first phase of a sanitation and purification project in rural Ferrol.
