HoYoverse confirmed that Genshin Impact version 7.0, subtitled “Everwinter Without Mercy,” launched on 12 August 2026, opening Snezhnaya as the seventh and final nation of Teyvat. The frozen, train‑linked region, inspired by Russia, features Muscovite‑style cities, a new survival mechanic limiting exposure to extreme cold, and a rail network that enables fast travel and train‑racing events. Players receive the Eye of Graeae goggles, which summon trains, create ice constructs, and unlock a third‑person shooter mode. The update adds the Stellar Swirl reaction (Anemo + Cryo), firearms for the first time—allowing characters such as the Traveler to wield guns—and animal‑themed enemies and bosses that deepen the lore around the Tsaritsa and the Fatui. Two new playable characters arrive: 5‑star Cryo sword‑fighter Odette, a ballerina operative, and 4‑star Electro polearm user Alyosha with his dog Tugarin. Existing characters can finally unlock Cryo, and the banner now focuses on a single premium 5‑star per major update. New content includes train‑racing, target‑shooting challenges, additional domains, and an Archon Quest centered on a catastrophic blizzard and an energy crisis, rewarding up to 560 Primogems. Livestream codes grant 100 Primogems each, and players can earn roughly 14‑15 000 Primogems during the version’s lifespan.
