German 2026 school summer break traffic surge

The coordinated nine‑day summer break began on 29 July, with Bavaria starting its six‑week vacation a day later on 31 July. ~~The Bavarian start means that all~~ All 16 German states are now on holiday, covering roughly 11 million pupils in general and vocational schools.
