German clubs expand ticket and sponsorship promotions

Overview

In mid‑July 2026, clubs began fan‑engagement initiatives for the 2026/27 season. Heilbronner Falken ice‑hockey and Kreisbau Knights basketball opened early‑bird season‑ticket sales for a week. Falken tickets (online and arena office) offered up to 20 % discount, a companion ticket, 10 % jersey discount, free standing‑area entry and priority playoff tickets. Knights tickets started 15 July, covering BARMER 2 BBL games and a separate cup‑match sale.

A week later SSVg Velbert 02 football announced a €1,902 sponsorship raffle; entry deadline 1 August, draw 2 August at IMS Arena, with logo placement on the first‑team shirt plus LED‑banner and “Sponsor of the Day” prizes. HSV Insel Usedom began hand‑ball pre‑sale for a 25 July match versus Füchse Berlin, tickets €8‑€20 for members, €10‑€25 for non‑members, plus an autograph session.

On 27 July Saale Bulls ice‑hockey launched Oberliga season tickets (standing and seated) priced €259‑€339, with discounts for children, students, disabled fans and perks such as meet‑and‑greet, limited‑edition shirt and shop vouchers. Wilhelmshavener HV handball introduced a €189 season pass after a price rise, offering a 10 % day‑ticket discount, “bring a friend” deal, priority entry and a fixed home‑court seat.

In early August the rollout continued. ERSC Amberg ice‑hockey began pre‑sale on 4 August, offering 15 regular‑round games and four preparatory matches; standing tickets €210 (€155 discounted), seated €250 (€190 discounted), with a €125 reduced rate for students, apprentices and seniors, plus discounts for members, disabled and seniors and reduced playoff admission. Arminia Bielefeld football opened ticket sales on 11 August, limiting sales to members and season‑ticket holders; 2,792 tickets (standing €20 (€18 discounted) + €2 fee, seated €46 (€43 discounted) + €3 fee) with a two‑ticket per person cap.
