Contestants on the German cooking competition ‘Das perfekte Dinner’ have faced varying degrees of success and difficulty during their respective hosting episodes.

In the Pfalz region, contestant Maxin, a 22-year-old student, struggled with a ‘Journey Through the Seasons’ menu. While the visual presentation was praised, the main course featuring oyster mushrooms was described by guest Tobias as his ‘mushroom final boss’ due to texture issues. Maxin also faced frustration when a dessert parfait turned out too liquid.

In Landau, Lorene, 36, hosted a dinner themed ‘Una cena da nonna,’ inspired by her Italian grandmother. Her menu featured traditional Italian flavors and handmade orecchiette. To accommodate high temperatures of 29 degrees Celsius, she provided guests with access to an outdoor kitchen, sauna, and private pool.

In a later episode, Jenny from near Koblenz hosted the finale with a Spanish-inspired menu. Despite her confidence, the judges found her dishes underwhelming, labeling the starter ‘too simple’ and the main course as lacking excitement. Jenny, who had been a highly critical host throughout the week, received an average rating of only six points.
