La Ruota della Fortuna maintains high wins and new segments ratings
Throughout July and August 2026, La Ruota della Fortuna maintained its dominance in Italian primetime, consistently averaging 3.5 million viewers. The show’s momentum was bolstered by a high-profile 7 August special celebrating host Gerry Scotti’s 70th birthday, which drew 4,106,000 viewers. Following the special, the program saw continued contestant success. On 13 August, Simone from Segrate was crowned champion. On 20 August, pastry chef Maikol from Villafranca Padovana won over 16,000 euros during a ‘Lemons’-themed ‘Ruota delle Meraviglie’ round. At the end of August, entrepreneur Giulia from Urbino emerged as a new champion, winning 42,300 euros. She succeeded Fabio from Milan, who had accumulated over 90,200 euros. By 3 September 2026, Giulia’s winning streak continued, with host Gerry Scotti noting she had accumulated a total prize pool of 186,500 euros. Giulia shared her intention to use the funds to expand her language institute. Giulia Smargiassi later set a recent record by winning over 430,000 euros. Her reign concluded on 10 September 2026, when the title of champion passed to Elisa, a professional from Trieste. On 11 September 2026, the program continued its run on Canale 5 with a significant win by Sara from Calderara di Reno. Following the summer season, the show has returned to its classic format, introducing new segments such as ‘Figli delle stelle’ and ‘JukeBox’. On 17 September 2026, Chiara, a 19-year-old medical student from Vasto, won 409,600 euros and a Fiat 500 Hybrid Cabrio during her second appearance. On 25 September 2026, the program drew 4,337,000 viewers and a 22.9% share. During this episode, Stefanos, a flight attendant from Rome, was crowned the new champion after winning 40,300 euros, defeating the previous champion, Carlotta from Florence. The broadcast also featured guest Samira Lui and segments such as ‘La locanda di Samira’.
