Swedish rock band Ghost’s second concert film, 2 Big To Rig, captures two sold-out Skeletour shows filmed on 16 mm at Mexico City’s Palacio de los Deportes in September 2025. The filming occurred during the final leg of a 70-show world tour that concluded in February 2026; a planned third night in Mexico City was cancelled due to illness. Produced with Trafalgar Releasing and directed by Amir Chamdin, the film utilizes a 16 mm format to create a nostalgic, high-contrast visual style reminiscent of 1980s VHS tapes. This cinematic choice aims to provide an artistic and romanticized view of the band’s mythology. Executive VP Kymberli Frueh stated that the 16 mm film creates “a nostalgic experience and an appropriate farewell for this era of the band.” The film includes material from all six Ghost albums, backstage footage, and the only professionally recorded performances of frontman Papa V Perpetua and the Nameless Ghouls from the phone-free tour. It features songs from the 2025 Billboard 200-topping album Skeletá, as well as hits like “Mary On A Cross,” “Kiss the Go-Goat,” and “The Future Is a Foreign Land.” Following the announcement of the audio companion, the film and its accompanying ‘2 Big To Rig (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)’ were released on 26 August 2026. 2026 via Loma Vista Recordings.
