Reports initially suggested that Il Sole 24 Ore CEO Federico Silvestri was considering a leadership change to drive the group’s multimedia transformation. Speculation identified Giuseppe De Bellis, then Executive Vice President at Sky Italia, as a potential successor to current editor Fabio Tamburini. Following these reports, Sky Italia officially announced that De Bellis will depart his role on December 4 to pursue a “new professional challenge.” While the broadcaster did not explicitly confirm his next destination, reports indicate he is expected to join the editorial leadership of Il Sole 24 Ore. The Board of Directors of Il Sole 24 Ore S.p.A. has now formally confirmed this transition. The Board unanimously designated De Bellis as the Responsible Director for Il Sole 24 Ore, Radio 24, Radiocor, and all other journalistic outlets within the group, effective December 7, 2026. In this new structure, Fabio Tamburini will be confirmed in his role as Editorial Director of the Group. The Board expressed gratitude to Tamburini for his contributions to the company’s relaunch and the consolidation of its journalistic authority since 2018.
