The deployment of specialized AI agents in healthcare sectors is expanding globally to address administrative burdens and clinical support. In Israel, Sheba Medical Center announced it will be the first hospital outside the United States to implement OpenAI’s ‘ChatGPT for Healthcare’. The platform is intended to assist clinicians by synthesizing medical literature and navigating clinical guidelines while maintaining a ‘zero-data-retention policy’ to protect patient privacy. In Japan, Krasitech (also referred to as Clasitech) has introduced ‘SHISHI’, an AI agent designed for medical and nursing care management. The tool focuses on automating documentation, billing, and telephone responses through a ‘human-in-the-loop’ approach, allowing staff to verify AI-generated drafts without altering existing workflows. At the Hospital DX Summit 2026 Summer, the company highlighted that SHISHI aims to overcome barriers to digital transformation, such as high workloads, varying digital literacy, and the difficulty of replacing on-premise systems. To minimize operational disruption, the platform supports flexible interfaces including voice, photos, and text, and ensures compatibility with both cloud and on-premise environments. The service is being expanded across sectors including home nursing stations, outpatient rehabilitation, and nursing homes.
