Global Fintech Fest 2026 in India

Overview

The seventh edition of the Global Fintech Fest (GFF) 2026 was held in Mumbai from September 8 to 11. The event, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, focused on the theme “Potential to Impact: Agentic AI, Tokenisation, Quantum - Trusted, Connected, Global Systems for Inclusive Finance”.

During the festival, Indian officials emphasized the importance of a digital financial ecosystem built on connectivity, compute, and trust. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia noted the significant growth in internet access across the country, while RBI Governor Sanjay Malhotra urged the industry to use emerging technologies like artificial intelligence and quantum computing to reach underserved populations, including farmers and MSMEs.

To support these goals, the RBI Governor launched several initiatives, including UPI Tap & Pay, the AI-powered MyUPI platform, and a framework for corporate bond tokenization.
