Maternal mental health is receiving increased attention as experts highlight the systemic neglect of conditions such as postpartum depression, anxiety, and psychosis. In the United States, while postpartum psychosis affects roughly 2 in 1,000 women, broader issues like depression and anxiety impact as many as 1 in 5 women during pregnancy and the year following childbirth.
