Global mining operations continue to advance through significant exploration and infrastructure development. In Canada, White Gold Corp. has announced a preliminary economic assessment for its namesake project, projecting a C$1.9 billion post-tax net present value. Other Canadian activity includes Gold X2 Mining Inc. reporting high-grade gold intersections in Ontario, while Manhattan Gold Corporation has identified a high-grade gold intercept of 41.15 metres at 4.66 g/t gold at its Hook Lake project in Nunavut. In British Columbia, Westhaven Gold Corp. reported positive assay results from a 35,000-metre resource infill drilling program at the Shovelnose gold property, confirming high-grade gold and silver mineralization including a 10-metre interval grading 12.18 g/t Au and 103 g/t Ag. This program is supported by a strategic earn-in agreement with Dundee Corp. In the United States, Resolution Copper has transitioned to physical construction in Arizona. In Nevada, Viking Mines has reported visual scheelite intercepts at its Linka Tungsten Project, marking the first drilling at the site in 40 years. Additionally, American Tungsten has defined a mineral resource estimate for the IMA Mine Project, including an indicated resource of 316,000 tonnes and an inferred resource of 2.18 million tonnes at 0.55% tungsten oxide. American Tungsten & Antimony has also commenced wet table trials at the Del Sol refinery to expand production. International developments include Amaroq Ltd. commencing resource drilling in Greenland, Gemdale Gold reporting high-grade results in Finland, and Augustus Minerals launching a reverse circulation drilling program at its Music Well gold project in Western Australia. In Australia, Westgold Resources Limited reported a 41% increase in proven and probable mineral reserves to 4.1 million ounces as of June 30, 2026. Additionally, Empire Metals has upgraded its Pitfield Project mineral resource estimate, identifying it as the world’s largest titanium resource with 8.16 billion tonnes at 4.3% titanium dioxide. In South America, Galantas Gold is expanding exploration in Chile, while McEwen Copper moves toward a final investment decision in Argentina. In Africa, Lindian Resources is nearing production at its Kangankunde rare earths project in Malawi, with operations expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.
