In Argentina, a young man sustained serious injuries after being struck by a train near the Balcarce station in Salta. Preliminary reports suggest the individual entered the tracks suddenly, preventing the driver from stopping in time. Further infrastructure issues have emerged in Argentina following a passenger train derailment in the Gramilla area of Santiago del Estero province.
