Reports continue to emerge regarding various incidents of violence and misconduct involving students and educators across several countries. In Argentina, recent reports include a 12-year-old girl with autism being bullied in Santiago del Estero, and a man facing charges for performing obscene acts in front of a young girl. In Concepción del Uruguay, a family filed a formal police report against the staff of Escuela N.º 1 «Nicolás Avellaneda», alleging their 7-year-old son suffered repeated physical and verbal aggression from classmates, including being followed into bathrooms. Additionally, a student at CPEM 6 secured a transfer following persistent bullying, and teachers in Florencio Varela held a strike after a student’s relative physically assaulted a librarian. In Bolivia, an instructor at the Regimiento II de Tarapacá was reported for the physical assault of an 18-year-old. In Santa Cruz, a father is under investigation after allegedly attacking a student he identified as a bully. In Cochabamba, police are searching for a teacher accused of sexually abusing a 13-year-old relative. In Mexico, a teacher in Morelia was arrested for the alleged sexual abuse of a teenager, while authorities in Veracruz addressed a viral video of a physical assault between students at CETIS 15. Further unrest has been reported at CECyTE Estación San José regarding abuses of authority, and at Colegio de Bachilleres 3, where students and the collective ‘Las Tonantzin’ blocked roads to demand a director’s dismissal following reports of sexual harassment. Parents at Venustiano Carranza primary school are also protesting an alleged cover-up of abuse by a janitor. In the United States, former Long Island art teacher John Kennedy was arrested for allegedly stalking a former student. In Colombia, mathematics teacher Benigno Rafael Ospino Padilla faced charges for continuing to teach despite disciplinary sanctions. Newer reports highlight a rise in digital safety concerns.
