To manage this volatility, there is a shift toward technological solutions, such as the application of artificial intelligence and deep reinforcement learning, to create dynamic systems capable of adapting to fluctuating demand and transportation conditions.

In response to the need for enhanced logistical capabilities, regional hubs are implementing specialized support programs. For instance, the Puerto de Dock Sud in Argentina has launched the “Dock Sud Global” and “Aula Puerto” initiatives. These programs aim to bolster international expansion through commercial intelligence, technical assistance, and financing, while simultaneously addressing modern technological demands through digital port management training and specialized workforce development.
