Five days later, a separate analysis published in The BMJ reinforced the association, this time focusing on semaglutide‑based products Ozempic and Wegovy. The researchers again reported a statistical link between these drugs and higher rates of hair loss, highlighting the finding as a previously unrecognised side effect that could influence prescribing decisions and patient counseling worldwide.
