Godzilla merchandise releases in Japan

Overview

In late 2026, several new lines of Godzilla-themed merchandise were announced for the Japanese market.

Takara Tomy Arts scheduled the release of two capsule toy series: the “Katazun Fig. Godzilla” series featuring deformed figures of characters such as Godzilla (1984) and Mechagodzilla (1974) in mid-October, followed by the “Mugyutto! Godzilla” series in early November which depicts characters in hugging poses.

Further expansions include capsule toys from Benelic launching in late October, featuring “name sticker-style plate charms” inspired by films like “Godzilla-1.0” and “mini T-shirt keychains.” Additionally, the retailer AmiAmi announced a limited series of four “MSS (Middle Size Series)” art soft vinyl figures, including exclusive color versions, to be available at an event in Akihabara from October 31 to November 15, 2026.
