The state of Goiás is experiencing significant industrial activity and long-term investment projections. The government anticipates over R$ 30 billion in industrial and mining investments by 2030, driven by the automotive, pharmaceutical, agribusiness, and energy sectors. Notable projects include multi-billion real investments from companies such as HPE Automotores, CAOA, and Inpasa, alongside expansions in the pharmaceutical hub of Anápolis. Recent economic data reflects this industrial momentum, showing a 0.8% growth in industrial production for July. This increase was fueled by a 10% rise in the manufacturing of biofuels and petroleum derivatives, and a 23.3% surge in the pharmaceutical and pharmochemical sector. However, this industrial growth has occurred alongside a contraction in the services sector, which fell by 1.9% in the same period. By the first half of 2026, the manufacturing sector in Goiás recorded a 6% increase in formal job creation. Official data indicates the state added 12,111 new jobs between January and June, with nearly 10,000 of those positions attributed to the manufacturing industry. This growth has positioned Goiás as sixth nationally in relative industrial employment growth, with hiring concentrated in the hubs of Goiânia, Anápolis, and Rio Verde.
