A violent confrontation occurred in the Lancha del Genil area of Granada, Spain, following a traffic dispute. After a driver nearly struck a couple at a pedestrian crossing, a pedestrian confronted the driver, leading the driver to retrieve a metal fishing hook from his vehicle. The driver used the hook to pierce the pedestrian’s arm and subsequently tethered the victim to a railing, leaving him immobilized. Emergency services and firefighters were required to use bolt cutters to free the victim before he could be transported to a hospital for surgery. Following the incident, the suspect initially evaded immediate arrest but surrendered to the National Police after negotiations. He later has since appeared in court and was been ordered into judicial custody.
