Various grape-themed festivals are scheduled to take place in the Manisa region of Turkey during early September 2026. In Alaşehir, the International Culture, Art and Grape Festival is set for September 3 to September 6. Organized by the Alaşehir Municipality, the event focuses on the region’s agricultural value, specifically its ‘world-famous Sultaniye grapes’. The program includes competitions such as a Keleter pulling contest and a grape beauty contest, alongside a shopping fair, a women producers’ market, and musical performances. Concurrently, the Manisa Grape Harvest Festival will be held in Şehzadeler from September 5 to September 8. This event is a joint effort between the Şehzadeler and Manisa Metropolitan Municipalities intended to support local producers and revitalize viticulture culture. Activities include a photography competition, agriculture workshops, and gastronomy stands. Manisa Metropolitan Mayor Besim Dutlulu noted the importance of protecting agricultural production areas amidst the city’s industrialization. To support the festival, a photography competition titled ‘Grape Harvest and Grape Culture in Şehzadeler’ will offer 45,000 TL in total prizes to amateur and professional photographers. Additionally, preparations are underway for the Manisa Yuntdağı Pistachio Harvest Festival, scheduled for September 6 in the Akçaköy neighborhood, to promote the region's agricultural wealth.
