Greek Civil Servants' Mutual Fund loan applications

Overview

The Civil Servants' Mutual Fund (M.T.P.Y.) announced the opening of a digital platform for members to apply for loans to address emergency financial needs.

Eligible applicants include permanent public employees, Fire Service personnel, certain Hellenic Police staff, and registered municipal employees. To qualify, members must be under 65, have been part of the Fund for at least two years through continuous monthly contributions, and be tax-compliant. Those with existing loan debts, individuals on unpaid leave, or those who have submitted resignations are ineligible.

For the second half of 2026, the Fund established a fixed interest rate of 7% for the duration of the repayment. Loans are repayable in 36 equal monthly installments and can cover the equivalent of one, two, or three monthly gross salaries. The application process remains active until the approved budget is exhausted.
