The 2026 national heritage programme, financed by the EU Recovery and Resilience Fund and other structural resources, continues its rollout across Greece. Following earlier work in the Dodecanese, Cyclades, and Peloponnese, the programme has expanded into the Corinth, Thrace, Epirus, and Trikala regions. In Corinth, the Ministry of Culture recently transferred three major projects to the public: the ancient port of Kechries, a segment of the Examilion wall at Isthmia, and the ancient Diolkos trade route. In the Thrace and Epirus regions, Minister Lina Mendoni has overseen ~~several key developments. Recent activities have expanded to Thessaloniki, where Minister Mendoni ~~stated~~ and Mayor Stelios Angelidis inspected the Toumpa archaeological site.
