Greece has implemented several initiatives focused on professional development, labor market connectivity, and international educational exchanges. On one front, professional opportunities have been expanded through the KPMG Intelligence Lab’s 2026-2027 programs in AI and innovation, as well as European Union competitions for over 1,400 positions in technical fields. To address the labor market, the Greek Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs organized the ‘Rebrain Greece’ event in Munich to connect specialized Greek professionals living abroad with domestic companies. Additionally, the 6th Greece-US Strategic Dialogue facilitated student exchange programs, including the FLEX Global and Summer Work and Travel programs. In the realm of academic mobility, the Erasmus+ program has facilitated various exchanges. This includes teacher training in Dublin, Ireland, focused on mental health awareness, and international student visits to Meteora and Trikala, Greece, to study monasticism and regional geology. Recent Erasmus+ activities include a visit to the 12th General Lyceum of Larissa from October 12 to 16, where students and educators from Austria and Poland participated in collaborative lessons and visited the Civil Protection Department of the Thessaly Region and the Larissa City Hall to study ‘Smart City’ initiatives. Furthermore, students from the 1st Lyceum of Paphos in Cyprus traveled to Malta from October 6 to 13 to participate in local classes and visit historical sites such as Mdina and the Acropolis on Gozo.
