Greek government officials have initiated a series of visits to address challenges within the national agricultural sector. Schoinas stressed that policy must support the sector’s unique structure, which relies heavily on small-scale coastal and family-run businesses, while addressing competitive challenges from third-country products. More recent dialogues have addressed labor, subsidies, and rising production costs. In observance of World Rural Women's Day, Schoinas proposed a network for Greek female farmers to address demographic challenges and rural depopulation. During a 'Dialogue with Production' meeting involving the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE), discussions focused on the transition to the new CAP system and the completion of EAE 2026. While some representatives noted a commitment to process agricultural payments by November 30, others expressed dissatisfaction regarding the lack of clear timelines for substantive solutions.
