Greek journalist Sia Kosioni professional activities

Greek journalist and ANT1 presenter Sia Kosioni has addressed various aspects of her professional life, including challenges regarding industry stereotypes and her recent career transitions.

In a recent interview, Kosioni discussed the gender-based stereotypes she encountered early in her career, noting that public commentary often focused on her appearance and personal life rather than her academic qualifications. She specifically addressed criticisms regarding her professional independence, citing remarks that attributed her opinions to her marriage to Kostas Bakoyannis or her connections to political figures.

Regarding her current work, Kosioni detailed her role as a commentator for the central news bulletin at ANT1, describing her collaboration with Nikos Chatzinikolaou as “impeccable” and noting that the position provides more freedom than traditional news anchoring. Additionally, she announced her participation in the charitable theatrical production “Ta Kamomata,” where she will perform a scripted role as a wealthy shopper for a philanthropic cause.
