Greek Orthodox Metropolises are organizing various charity concerts to fund social welfare and philanthropic programs. On September 21, 2026, the Holy Metropolis of Nea Krini and Kalamaria scheduled a concert at the Nea Michaniona Stadium titled ‘Me tin Ellada Karavokyri’. Featuring performers such as Dimitris Bassis and Violeta Ikari, the event aims to support the Central Soup Kitchen and other local philanthropic structures. Following this, on September 28, 2026, additional concerts were organized in Piraeus and Missolonghi. The Holy Metropolis of Piraeus planned an event at the Veakeio Theatre to fund missionary, educational, and food programs for vulnerable groups. Simultaneously, the Holy Metropolis of Aetolia and Acarnania scheduled a performance in Missolonghi to support student scholarships, community soup kitchens, and emergency relief for families in difficulty. In Piraeus, the Holy Metropolis held its annual charity concert at the Veakeio Theatre. Organized in collaboration with the Attica Region and supported by the Municipality of Piraeus, the event featured performances by singer Katerina Lioliou, Giannis Fakinos, and the Metropolis of Piraeus Schools' Choir. The concert was attended by Metropolitan Seraphim of Piraeus, Governor of Attica Nikos Hardalias, and Mayor of Piraeus Giannis Moralis. Proceeds are intended to fund missionary, educational, and food programs, including providing daily meals to those in need and supporting families facing difficult living conditions.
