On 2 August 2026 two Bell AB‑214 ST firefighting helicopters collided near Psatha in western Attica while combating battling a wildfire that had started ignited on 31 July in Boeotia. A technical report confirmed a short‑circuit in a private wind‑farm power line as the fire’s ignition source.
