Polish defense company Grupa WB has announced the development and unveiling of the Gladius 2, a jet-powered, flying-wing unmanned strike system. The new system features a turbojet engine capable of high subsonic speeds and an operational range of up to 300 kilometers, a significant increase from the 100-kilometer range of the Gladius 1. Designed with low radar and thermal signatures to enhance stealth, the Gladius 2 is intended to strike high-value, time-sensitive targets. The project, commissioned by the Armament Agency, incorporates lessons learned from the conflict in Ukraine and is designed for integration with the Topaz combat management system. The system is expected to reach completion by 2027.
