Guinea administrative and sports leadership appointments

Overview

In October 2026, President Mamadi Doumbouya issued several decrees to appoint new leadership across various Guinean public institutions.

On October 15, Mohamed Bangoura was appointed Director General of the Guinean Advertising Office (OGP). This appointment follows calls for increased transparency and ethical management within the institution, which has previously faced allegations of mismanagement and embezzlement.

Later in the month, the President appointed new boards of directors for the Guinea Airport Management Company (SOGEAG) and the Guinean Civil Aviation Authority (AGAC). Moussa Cissé, an advisor to the President, was named Chairman of the Board for SOGEAG, while Dr. Kouramoudou Keita, Deputy Director General of the Budget, was appointed Chairman of the Board for AGAC.

On October 26, further leadership transitions were announced. In the sports sector, Mamadi Doumbouya, the Director General of the Postal and Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (ARPT), was elected president of the Guinean Football Federation (Féguifoot) with 21 votes. His mandate begins following calls from Sports Minister Cellou Baldé for “increased transparency, unity, and professional management” to address previous institutional crises.

In the government, Fana Soumah was reappointed as the Minister of Communication, Digital Economy, and Innovation, and Ramatoulaye Camara was named Minister of Employment, Labor, and Social Protection. Additionally, Adama Souaré was appointed to chair the board of the Guinean Railway Company (SNCFG).
