Hard Rock Cafe and Coca-Cola music competition
Overview
Hard Rock Cafe and Coca-Cola have launched ‘Hard Rock Rising’, a global music competition spanning 34 countries and 64 Hard Rock Cafe locations. The initiative aims to provide career opportunities for bands, soloists, DJs, and singer-songwriters.
Participants can submit two original songs by August 18. Following the submission period, local fan voting will advance participants through weekly rounds in September. In specific locations such as Copenhagen and Santiago, up to nine selected artists will perform at the local cafe, where the audience votes for a winner. Local winners may receive prizes such as a 500 USD cash award and a three-month paid residency.
Local winners will then advance to a global stage where the Coke Studio team, led by executive producer Rob Rettberg, will select a grand-prize winner. The global champion, to be announced on October 5, will receive a 10,000 USD cash award, a professional recording session in Los Angeles, and a performance at Hard Rock Live in Orlando. The initiative also includes a collaboration with the streetwear brand Cult of Individuality for limited-edition merchandise.
