By late July, Polish emergency services reported a rise in harvest‑related incidents, prompting intensified road checks, fines for lighting and load violations, and new powers for sobriety testing on fields. Regional officials in Wielkopolskie called for reduced speeds, increased spacing and patience with night‑time work, and highlighted protective‑equipment standards. On 28 July 2026, Polish authorities reiterated these appeals, stressing that delays can cut crop yields and urging drivers to avoid risky overtaking. The National Rural Development Agency (KRUS) promoted personal protective gear and its safety‑mark scheme for compliant machinery. Two days later, the Wieruszów police department urged tractor operators to obey standard traffic rules, stressing proper licensing, vehicle inspections, functional lighting, sobriety and keeping children away from operating machinery. Deputy Commissioner Kamil Ostrycharz warned of accidents involving young helpers.
