Hasbro G.I. Joe Classified Series expansions

Overview

Hasbro has continued to expand its G.I. Joe: Classified Series through various vehicle and figure releases.

In mid-September, the company opened pre-orders for the Dreadnok Thunder Machine, a six-inch scale vehicle available via Hasbro Pulse. The release drew debate among collectors because the vehicle does not include the Thrasher action figure, which was traditionally packaged with the toy. Hasbro stated that selling the Thrasher figure as a separate retail release was intended to keep the vehicle’s price lower.

By late September, Hasbro introduced additional items to the line, including a Zanya and Dreadnok Chameleon (Swamp Skier) combo. Other developments included a Walmart exclusive D.I.R.E. Hawk figure and new character file cards for Gnawhahyde, Zarana, Zandar, and Road Pig.

In early October, Hasbro announced further details regarding the D.I.R.E. Hawk action figure. The figure features a Cobra Paratrooper equipped with a D.I.R.E. Tech-Jet Wing Pack and eight character-inspired accessories, including an alternate helmeted head and a modified C-M2 Daedalus Jet Wing Pack. The figure is scheduled to ship in November, with a Walmart-exclusive version available for in-stock purchase on the retailer’s website rather than through pre-order.
