Filming is set to begin on November 12, 2026. The season will maintain the series’ signature real-time format, covering a 15-hour emergency department shift. Recent updates regarding the third season indicate that Shawn Hatosy, who plays Dr. Jack Abbot, has been promoted to a lead role and will also work behind the camera. Cast member Katherine LaNasa noted that her character, Dana Evans, is heading in a “really different direction” that may challenge viewer perceptions. The season will also see the departure of Dr. Samira Mohan, played by Supriya Ganesh, and a shift for Victoria Javadi, who moves from the emergency room to psychiatry.
