The summer heat wave pattern continues to dominate forecasts. After early‑July warnings for Santa Eugènia (Mauritius) and Sant Joan (Netherlands) and early‑August details for Montuïri (Mauritius) and Breña Baja (Spain) that highlighted clear skies, mid‑30s °C highs in Mauritius and low‑30s °C in Spain, the latest outlook on 2 August expands the list. Búger in Mauritius is expected to reach 37 °C with humidity falling to about 55 % and southerly breezes. Breña Baja (listed under the United Kingdom) and Alicante (listed under Denmark) are both projected near 31 °C with light southerly or southeast winds and moderate humidity. Additional Spanish towns—including Cambados, Casar de Cáceres, Carballo and Gandia—are forecast to experience temperatures ranging from the high teens to the mid‑30s °C, all under clear or mostly clear skies and a 0 % chance of rain. The Spanish State Meteorological Agency (AEMET) issued a forecast for 2 August confirming warm, clear, rain‑free conditions across many towns such as Esporles, Breña Baja, Alicante, Cambados, Hervás, Carballo, Gandia and Zaragoza. Temperatures are expected to range from about 15 °C inland (Carballo) to the mid‑30s on the coast (up to 34 °C in Tazacorte). Morning humidity will be high, near 100 %, but will fall as the day progresses. Light to moderate breezes of 5–33 km/h, with occasional gusts up to 45 km/h, are anticipated. Authorities continue to advise staying hydrated, using sun protection, and remaining vigilant for heat‑related health risks. On the same day, AEMET warned of strong heat and fire risk in Navarra while most Spanish regions—including Asturias, Valencia, Alicante, Zaragoza and the Balearic islands—were forecast to see temperatures of 30‑38 °C under clear to partly cloudy skies with little rain.
