Helene Fischer musical project announcements

German singer Helene Fischer has announced several upcoming projects. On October 18, she revealed that her new studio album, titled ‘WIR’, is scheduled for release on December 4. Describing the album as a mix of celebratory and emotional tracks, she noted the title represents “closeness, warmth, and a sense of belonging.” This marks her first Schlager studio album since 2021.

Following this, it was announced that Fischer will return to television with ‘Die Helene Fischer Show’ on December 25. After a one-year hiatus, the Christmas production will be recorded in late October at Messe Düsseldorf. The broadcast, a collaboration between ZDF, ORF, and SRF, is expected to feature various musical guests and large-scale staging.

Details for the 2026 comeback show have since been clarified. The production, which was absent from the 2025 holiday lineup following the birth of Fischer’s second daughter, is scheduled for recording on October 30 and 31 at Messe Düsseldorf. The broadcast will be available on linear television and via live stream. Confirmed guests for the event include Nina Chuba, Roland Kaiser, Kerstin Ott, Wincent Weiss, Giovanni Zarrella, and Der Graf, with comedian Carolin Kebekus expected to appear. The show aims to bridge musical genres, ranging from modern pop to traditional Schlager. ZDF show editor Oliver Heidemann has described the return as ‘the great Christmas gift for the TV audience’ much to the anticipation of viewers.
