Hellas Verona Serie B campaign preparations

Former Hellas Verona captain Luca Ceccarelli expressed optimism regarding the club’s upcoming Serie B campaign, identifying them as top contenders alongside Palermo and Cremonese. He noted that manager Marco Baroni provides a “significant guarantee” for the team.

As the season opener against Ascoli approaches, manager Baroni has emphasized the need for maximum performance. While the team has a clear direction, Baroni and sporting director Sean Sogliano have indicated a need to add four or five more players to the roster to pursue promotion to Serie A. Recent squad changes include the acquisition of midfielder Nunzio Lella following Lorenzo Montipò’s move to Venezia, the return of defender Pawel Dawidowicz, and the loan signing of Andréa Le Borgne from Como.

Ahead of the match against Ascoli, Baroni expressed confidence in the team’s dedication but cautioned that the championship will be difficult due to “organized opponents and young coaches.” While addressing transfer discussions, Baroni stated that although certain departures were discussed with the club, his primary focus remains on the team’s performance and sacrifice on the pitch. To bolster the lineup for the promotion push, the club has also made acquisitions including Harroui, Mosquera, and Frese.
