Arrowhead Game Studios first announced on 23 July 2026 that Helldivers 2 would feature a Legendary Warbond themed around the Warhammer 40,000 universe, teasing a reveal scheduled for 30 July. The teaser highlighted new weapons such as a Bolt Pistol and hinted at armor sets and ~~Chapter‑specific~~ Chapter-specific gear, with a price of 1,500 Super Credits. On 30 July ~~2026~~ 2026, the developer confirmed the bundle’s name – the “Castellan’s Creed” Legendary Warbond – and detailed its launch on 12 August 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam). It will be sold in the Superstore for 1,500 Super Credits and cannot be purchased with a Premium Warbond token. The set includes four new weapons ~~(R/40‑K Hot‑Shot~~ (R/40-K Hot-Shot Marksman Rifle, ~~P/40‑K~~ P/40-K Bolt Pistol, ~~40‑K~~ 40-K Meltagun stratagem, ~~G/40‑K~~ G/40-K Meltamine throwable), two armor sets ~~(TG‑8~~ (TG-8 Sharpshooter medium armor and ~~TG‑122 Demo‑Trooper~~ TG-122 Demo-Trooper heavy armor), a Meltagun stratagem, and a range of cosmetics and titles, all themed after the Astra Militarum’s elite Cadian Kasrkin regiment. The promotional narrative honors the Helldivers’ heroic last stand during the First Galactic War. On 12 August 2026, the Castellan’s Creed Warbond launched alongside Update 7.0.0, a major patch for Helldivers 2. This update introduced a new biome, the fight toward the Void, and new enemy types known as the Illuminate scourge, including the regenerating Crusher and the agile Wretch. The patch also increased the Helldiver rank level cap from 150 to 300 and added a SEAF planet modifier to allow NPC troops to assist players.
