HELLENiQ ENERGY student support and social initiatives
Overview
HELLENiQ ENERGY has undertaken several corporate social responsibility initiatives in Greece focused on student support, education, and healthcare.
In early September, the company donated modern equipment to upgrade common areas in new student dormitories at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). This project, coordinated with the Foundation for Youth and Lifelong Learning (INEDIBIM), aims to improve study and social spaces. During a signing ceremony, NTUA awarded CEO Andreas Siamisi the ‘Prometheus Pyrphoros’ emblem for the company’s contributions.
The company also conducted its 18th annual ‘Empowering Youth’ program, honoring 368 high-achieving graduates from General and Vocational Lyceums in the Thriasio Plain, Western Thessaloniki, and Kozani who gained admission to tertiary education. Ceremonies were held in Thessaloniki on September 16 and in Athens on September 28, attended by Ministry of Education officials and local authorities. Since 2009, this program has recognized more than 6,000 graduates.
Expanding its social initiatives, the company donated a digital angiograph to the University General Hospital of Larissa, inaugurated on October 14. The equipment is intended to enhance the Interventional Neuroradiology Unit, aiding in the diagnosis and treatment of vascular pathologies such as acute ischemic strokes and cerebral aneurysms.
Furthermore, HELLENiQ ENERGY announced its 14th annual scholarship program for postgraduate studies. For 2026, 54 scholarships were awarded to high-achieving graduates, with 37 recipients in Greece and 17 through subsidiaries in Cyprus, Bulgaria, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia. These scholarships support studies at universities in countries including the Netherlands, the USA, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
