In late July 2026, the Hermosillo municipal government announced the tenth edition of the Parque Al Arte program, inviting artists, muralists, and workshop leaders to submit projects for a city-wide series of performances, murals, and interdisciplinary art slated for August-December. A week later, the city’s Biblioteca Municipal La Malinche launched a Creative Summer Camp for children aged 7-10, offering daily workshops in art, music, reading, and cinema. Organized by the Institute of Municipal Culture and Art (IMCA), the camp extended the municipal cultural agenda to free, hands-on creative experiences for youth across urban and rural neighborhoods.
