In late August 2026, the high-performance projector market saw significant developments regarding laser technology and refresh rates. XGIMI received the EISA award for ‘Premium HT Projector 2026-2027’ for its TITAN Noir Ultra Max, a device utilizing RGB Triple Laser technology with 7,000 lumens and support for up to 240Hz in Full HD VRR. At the IFA 2026 trade show in Berlin, several companies unveiled new hardware. JMGO introduced its IRIS series, including the IRIS Ultra Max and IRIS Ultra. These RGB Triple-Laser projectors support 4K resolution at 120Hz. The flagship Ultra Max model features up to 6,500 ISO lumens, a 10,000:1 native contrast ratio, and a motorized 360-degree gimbal. XGIMI debuted the Aura 3 Series, consisting of the Aura 3 Max and Aura 3 Pro. These ultra-short-throw (UST) projectors target 4K 120Hz output for gaming and home cinema. The Aura 3 Max provides up to 5,700 ISO lumens and utilizes a Dynamic Dual Iris optical system. The series runs Google TV and supports HDR standards such as Dolby Vision and IMAX Enhanced. Further details on the Aura 3 series reveal that the Max model features a native contrast ratio of 8,000:1 and an 80W Harman Kardon speaker system, while the Pro model offers 4,100 ISO lumens. The series is noted for introducing a ‘world-first 4K 120Hz capability’ for UST projectors. Sales for the series are scheduled to begin on October 20 via Kickstarter in the United States. Additionally, Aurzen launched the ZIP Pro, which is described as the ‘world’s first tri-fold Full HD pocket projector.’ Following its demonstration at IFA, JMGO has officially launched the IRIS Ultra Max in the United States and Europe.
